Thomas is easy to recognize. His gaze is always visionary. Even as a young boy, he helped in his parents’ business and later took over the management. A role that suits him. He is always there for his siblings, not just in the business. His biggest management challenge are his two children. “Anyone who has children has received a natural employee motivation and leadership course!” That’s his motto.
Always looking for new ways, he had the idea to create a hotel for people who “want to live their own life”. Everyone is different. Everyone has the right to live their own life, to know their own wishes and to fulfill them as much as possible. He has turned this idea into a concept and realized it with the “Fritsch am Berg”.
Together with his wife Diana he developed the idea of a ****Mental-SPA hotel.

Diana is also easily recognizable. Red and black are her favorite colors. Her style combines fire and water.
Humming to herself, radiant, with a swaying walk, she goes through life and through the hotel. She is a mental health coach & consultant. The Mental Center is her oasis in the hotel. Her home is her haven of peace with Thomas. The couple and their children Lukas and Magdalena feel at home here, surrounded by the whole family.

Restaurant manager, sommelier

At least one moose or deer can be found in some shape or form in Beate’s vicinity. Whether in a restaurant or at home – her passion is decorating with love. Her vocation is to take care of people.
Beate often recognizes wishes before they have been expressed and sometimes before they have even been thought of. Her guests are close to her heart and she greets some of them quite effusively with her cheerful manner.
She tends towards perfection when it comes to creating a cozy, feel-good place for guests in the restaurant. She is creative when it comes to decorating.
Wine is Beate’s great love. There is a whole palette of scents and colors to read, taste and smell. And Beate takes the time to experience this. She is selects new wines for her guests. Some bottles are real hunting trophies. But they are all well guarded and stored by her.
If you don’t find Beate in the restaurant, she is somewhere feeding calves with milk bottles or immersed in the world of books.
„My temperament is both a blessing and a curse“, she says about herself. Just now she was standing in the garage, painting the walls a soft green. Beate is always there. And she’s everywhere!

Head chef

Wherever Franz is, either pots and pans or his twins are clattering. Sometimes all together. Anna and Lea love their father very much. Probably because he is young at heart. Franz is the artist of the family.
Franz loves the kitchen. He can create compositions of different ingredients, spices and flavors in his head. And he creatively turns them into reality – to the delight of his guests. In this way, he never ceases to surprise, sometimes even himself.
The origin of the products used in the kitchen is important to him. Having grown up with his own animals, it is important to him to select and prepare food with care and respect. Flavor enhancers have no place in his kitchen. Regional food is important to him. That is why you will always find traditional delicacies alongside new creations on his menus.
His motto is: „Nothing is more important than the moment!“

The good spirits

Resi enters the room with a smile on her face. Her eyes wander around. She is very attentive. She sewed the curtains in the hotel herself. It takes yards of fabric, thread and a lot of love. Not just a love of detail, but also a love for people who will feel at home here.
Many guests know her personally. New people are always coming in and appreciate her friendly and humorous manner. Almost everyone in the area knows her. For some, she was the patient teacher at school.
Her love for children can be seen in her own four children Thomas, Claudia, Beate and Franz. Four grandchildren, Lukas, Magdalena, Anna & Lea, make her a happy grandmother who is needed everywhere.
After marrying Franz in 1971, she gave up teaching and devoted herself to her children and renting out guest rooms, eventually becoming the manager of the “Berger Stüberl”. She loves being around people. And people loved her company.

We fondly remember Franz as if he was still out on the “Bühl”, the meadow in front of the house, with his “Wieba”, as he lovingly called his cows. Often he would suddenly reappear shortly afterwards at the sawmill, in the forest or at the hotel. Just as he was always there in person, his spirit lives on. His family continues to farm in his spirit, as he passed on the idea of appreciating nature and life to his children.

Resi & Franz laid the foundation for the “Fritsch am Berg”. They form the core of the hotel and enclose the area inside the hotel. Where we prepare everything for your well-being.
